Neighborhood Veterinary is committed to transparent pricing. In line with CMA (Competition and Markets Authority) guidance for veterinary services, we provide written estimates to help you understand the likely cost of treatment before it proceeds.
We will offer a written estimate whenever the likely total cost of a treatment episode is expected to reach or exceed £500. You may request a written estimate at any time, regardless of the treatment value.
Each written estimate itemises the proposed procedures, medications, and services with their individual prices. Where costs may vary, we provide a realistic range (minimum to maximum). The estimate also notes any caveats, such as potential complications that could affect the final cost.
If treatment needs change and the likely cost increases by more than the lower of 20% of the original estimate or £500, we will issue a revised estimate and discuss the updated costs with you before proceeding.
You are under no obligation to proceed with treatment after receiving an estimate. You may seek a second opinion, request treatment at another practice, or ask us to explore alternative treatment options. We will never pressure you into a decision.
If you have any questions about an estimate or our pricing, please speak to a member of our team. We are happy to explain any charges in detail.
